I’m trying to configure a Linux samba server to connect to a domain controller and authenticate users that way. I got it setup mostly right it seems, Its joined to the domain as a member server and I can list users/groups etc, but…. from windows I browse to the samba server, create a folder called test, the owner/group is an obscure random number, how can I configure it so that the user/group will corespond to the user/group on the domain controller?
